Internal Coms

Our client has developed a unique advertising platform - one of few which can guarantee customer engagement, measure impacts, offer perfect gender segregation and address the problem of Gen Y consumers skipping, screening and ignoring ads. It is a fun, digital and has a mobile element.

 

 

About the Company:

 

Following a period of development and market testing, the company's launch was covered on BBC Click & Reuters, leading to global press coverage, over 500 enquiries and sales into 12 countries - incl. USA, Canada and Russia.

A funding round in Nov-12 and second round in NOV 13 was then used to complete an internationally saleable version of the product, to pilot the concept in various market sectors, and to scale up the back end.  This proved that the product could be sold and supported internationally (with a growing presence in North America) and that it was a highly effective and measurable form of advertising (winner of a Guardian Award for Marketing).  

The company has approached the ad industry via brands directly and via out-of-home media buyers.  In 3 months it has won campaigns with Apple electronic product Dr. Dre, Unilever’s Lynx, Diageo’s Captain Morgan, Halewood brand Lamb’s Navy Rum, online casino 32 Red and 20th Century Fox film “Let’s Be Cops”.   

Overseas sales have also been achieved, in response to inbound enquiries.  Ad campaigns for brands like Telus, in Canada, are delivered via established Resellers. The company’s biggest overseas venue customer is US bar chain Dave & Busters.

Early adopters Telus and Captain Morgan have both booked 2nd campaigns and been followed onto the platform by competitors.  Diageo’s World Cup campaign produced 81% unprompted awareness, a 60% uplift in category share and strong customer advocacy.

 

 

The Role: 

 

The candidate will build on the company’s early success in ad sales across its first network.  The sales process will follow the money to appropriate brands. It will start with appointment-setting, either directly or by collaborating on our client’s marketing campaigns.  It will progress through to pitching and closing, shepherding contracts through creative and media agencies to outdoor specialists.  At each stage opportunities will be taken to look for follow-on contracts with other brands.  All aspects of each contract will be negotiated, building on and feeding back to our current pricing model and T&C’s.  

In 2015 the company will accelerate its expansion overseas, and into at least one further UK sectors (exhibition centres / sports stadia / cinemas etc.).  The successful candidate will play a role in shaping both this growth strategy and the expansion of the sales team.

The Senior Digital Trading Executive has responsibility for delivering a digital display revenue target through a defined patch of digital deal partners and larger non-deal agencies. This includes establishing exceptional customer relationships and ensuring we service the procurement and buying teams of your patch with a focus on the effective delivery of the agency deals across digital.

  • Be fully aware of all pricing strategies with the agency deals and ensure we deliver the agreed yield for those agencies.

 

  • Establish 1-2-1 relationships with key stakeholders across the given agency patch, in particular the digital buyers & managers.

 

  •  Keep your agency organograms and clients list fully up to date and & communicate with your clients on a regular basis though phone calls, emails and meetings to make sure they are fully aware of  all digital opportunities across the Bauer portfolio.

 

Day to Day responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for updating agency trading teams on the company's digital developments and opportunities.

  • Work closely with Brand Creative Directors, updating them on briefs that can be expanded to larger creative deals.

  • Manage all pipeline information in dashboard for your deals and ensure

that this accurately reflects all proposal, pending contract and active orders.

  • Be mindful of periods that have high demand and try to limit the pain in these

periods by suggesting alternatives to the agency, to help deliver their

requirements.

  • React on delivery issues; help suggest alternative solutions to the agency.

  • React to excess availability issues, and again speak to agency contact to

agree short term deals within terms of deal

  • Ensure at the end of every month there are no outstanding orders in the

pipeline.

  • Manage any date changes in campaigns within 24 hour period and ensure

these are communicated to all parties i.e. Digital Operations/Production etc.

  • Ensure that before campaigns becomes active we gather all the relevant

documentation i.e. PO Number, Order confirmation, Agency Trading system

so the campaign can be invoiced accurately.

 

Responsible for display revenues across all brands through a defined agency patch.

 

Delivery of yield by agency.

 

Ensure the agency deal is delivered.
